Festival de la Medina
This arts festival takes place every year during the month of Ramadan (end of September to end of October) celebrating the culture and musical heritage of Tunisia and the Arab World as well as World Music performances. Concerts at the Municipal Theatre and other venues around the Medina.
Carthage Festival
Set in the glorious setting of the ancient Roman amphitheatre this is Tunisia's premier international arts festival, showcasing a fusion between local, traditional forms of music and dance and mainstream contemporary styles. It’s seen as a gate to international fame for Arab singers. Programme includes ballet, theatre, music, jazz, film. (mid July to late August every year).
