Built against the walls of a Roman fortress among the churches of Coptic Cairo, this museum holds the world’s most important examples of Coptic art, artefacts and manuscripts and gives a fascinating introduction to early Christianity. The rooms are arranged around a pleasing garden and there’s a café.
