It’s all fantasy of course, but that doesn’t deter the milling crowds that pour into the courtyard of Juliet’s House and plaster its walls with lovelorn messages. Although the house dates back to the 13th or 14th century, the balcony was added in the 1930s.
The interior of the ‘Capulet house’, which belonged to the Dal Cappello family, is furnished in the style of a 14th-century aristocratic household, has elegant frescoes and holds medieval ceramics. Gothic windows frame the famous balcony.
Open daily 8 am to 7.30 pm, except on Mondays when it opens at 1.30 pm. Last entry 6.30 pm.
