Teatro Romano and Museo Archeologico
Across the Ponte Pietra, the stone bridge built by Romans, blown up by retreating Germans and pieced together by the post-Second World War Veronese, lies the steep, cypress-clad San Pietro hill, known as Veronetta. The Teatro Romano there, once the grandest Roman theatre in Italy, is the setting for the summer Shakespeare Festival and occasional ballet performances.
