Holiday at home (if you’re British)
Holidaying at home is becoming more and more cool, especially as Great Britain is continuously increasing its fabulous offerings. The country’s saints and dragons have now been joined by Michelin star restaurants, boutique hotels and luxury spas and it is the ideal destination to get away from it all!
If you want a luxurious long spa weekend, a break discovering our cultural heritage or to take part in more active events involving extreme sports such as mountain biking or coasteering, Wales will be sure to satisfy your needs. From activity breaks in the north on the Isle of Anglesey and deep into Snowdonia to the wide open spaces of the Brecon Beacons or escapes to the wild and rugged Heritage coast of Glamorgan you will feel totally free and refreshed. Meanwhile the ultra modern metropolitan sights of the nation’s capital, Cardiff offer an energetic scene. In fact, if you stay for a week or so you could enjoy a town, county and coastal holiday – much more than you might get if you went to a resort abroad.
