"Sardegna" is one of Rome’s best fish restaurants. Although people from the island of Sardinia are surprisingly not renowned for their fish cooking abilities, because they are mainly shepherds, this restaurant, run by two native Sards -  Giancarlo Garofano and the chef Siro Sanna - has the most amazing fish dishes one can imagine. The ambience is elegant yet comfortable and diners can watch the chefs at work in the open-kitchen.  There is an amazing choice of fresh fish and shellfish, including a selection of raw starters of oysters, prawns and tuna.
