Foodies, rejoice! There is a heaven on earth and you can find it at La Boqueria.

The market, on La Rambla near Liceu station, is packed to the rafters with tasty treats and sells almost everything edible you can think of, from the freshest fish to weird and wonderful veg. You can also pick up bread, almost any cut of meat ever invented and cheese that will make your mouth water.

Compared to UK prices, everything on offer at La Boqueria is a steal and you’ll be able to walk away with plenty of picnic fodder for roughly half what you’d pay at home.

Situated just off La Rambla, the main shopping street in Barcelona, the market is incredibly easy to find. Just follow your nose – and the crowds…
