The Doric, Edinburgh's oldest gastropub, in the shadow of Waverley Station (Market Street), is not frequented by tourists. The upstairs wine bar offers up a real Edinburgh lunch, haggis if you must, and while it’s not exactly haute cuisine, it’s certainly a pleasant enough place.
