B-Hotel
Barcelona is renowned for its rich artistic history and although the B-Hotel isn’t exactly on a par with one of Gaudi’s beautiful buildings, it’s still a pretty cool place.
Perfectly situated by Sants Estacio – one of the city’s main train stations – you’ll never be far from the action. And, if you can get past it’s imposing wooden and glass exterior, you’ll be in for an absolute treat if you stay here.
Designed by Alfredo Arribas, the modern hotel caters for both business and pleasure. It boasts an impressive wine cellar, innovative artwork and unusually for a Barcelona hotel, its own roof terrace, complete with pool and solarium.
The warm and welcoming rooms fuse shades of coffee and cream and almost every mod-con comes as standard, such as free Wi-Fi access and LCD flat screens. But unless you’re a bit of an exhibitionist, the hard-to-close blinds in the bathroom may cause a few blushes if you’re travelling with someone other than your partner.
The B-Hotel is owned by the Nunez i Navarro group, which has several other hotels in the city. This one opened in 2005 though, and thanks to its excellent location, has proved to be very popular.
Montjuic Palace and its amazing water show is just a stone’s throw away, as are countless shops, restaurants and bars so one thing you’ll never be when staying at the B-Hotel is bored.
