Fabulous and fascinating, the rich collections in this award-winning art museum and library reveal artistic treasures from the world’s great cultures and religions, dating from about 2700BC to the present day.

Look for Egyptian papyrus texts and medieval manuscripts, illuminated copies of the Qur’an and striking Buddhist paintings, Turkish and Persian miniatures, Japanese woodblock prints and painted scrolls, Chinese dragon robes and jade books from the Imperial court, icons and decorative art objects.

The Library is housed in the Clock Tower Building in the grounds of Dublin Castle and has a contemporary Irish roof garden that’s a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city centre.
