For an evening out that is the polar opposite of Aigner but still a terrific experience in its own way is a great find that describes itself as a ‘dining club’, but is actually much much more than that. Housed in a large old warehouse on three levels It has a risqué dining theatre show, a more formal restaurant on its top floor, and my particular favourite, a room full of large beds that serve as your ‘tables’ and whilst reclining you are brought 7 courses of bite sized portions of food by waitresses who have to crawl across the bed to get to you all at a fixed price of €39. You even get massages by fully trained masseurs while you eat! A true Berlin decadent experience and a throwback to those heady ‘Cabaret’ clubs of the 30’s. Your host is a charming drag queen, who will manage your expectations brilliantly well whilst flirting outrageously, and if that’s not enough, after you’ve filled up you can go clubbing downstairs – all included in the price of your meal. This is a place that you will talk about for ever.
