Only a few fragments of the Berlin Wall remain and if you want to see them, the best place to visit is the East Side Gallery.

Situated at the junction of Invalidenfriedhof and Niederkirchnerstraße, the remaining pieces of the wall – which was once called the ‘ugliest piece of architecture in the world’ – run alongside the main road.

The most famous stretch is the 1,200-yard segment along Muhlenstraße, which has been painted by 118 artists. This is what’s officially known as the East Side Gallery and it is being added to all the time.
