The string of awards this Michelin-starred restaurant has garnered are all well deserved. Owned and run by renowned Irish chef Derry Clarke, who trained in the classical French tradition, and his wife Sallyanne, it is an elegant, calm and welcoming place on the site of two old Georgian coach houses, set in its own courtyard. The terrace garden is delightful for dining on a summer’s evening.

Menu highlights include Organic Salmon with crab mayonnaise, fine ratatouille, violet artichoke and basil juices, and Angus Beef Fillet with mushroom fricassée, ox tongue, confit shallot and celeriac remoulade black pepper emulsion. The desserts are luscious.

Reserve well in advance if possible – this is one of Ireland’s top five restaurants.
