Dimbola Lodge was the home of Victorian photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron.

Tucked away in beautiful Freshwater Bay, the attraction - which is now a museum - has been described as 'the best kept secret on the Isle of Wight'.

Dedicated to Julia's life and works, the gallery boasts a wide range of her photographs as well as plenty more ever-changing exhibits.

It is also home to a permanent display about the island's music festivals and the commemorative Jimi Hendrix Garden, which is visited by many fans each year.

If you're feeling adventurous (or in a silly mood), don't miss the Olympus Costume Room where visitors are encouraged to dress up in period costume and experiment with photography.

And and no trip to Dimbola Lodge would be complete without a trip to the Cameron Tea Room, which is famed for its locally sourced food (most of which is veggie-friendly) and homemade cakes.
