Bohemian Brighton is renowned for being veggie-friendly, and in the heart of its bustling Lanes is Food for Friends - one of the UK's premier vegetarian restaurants.

The award-winning eatery has been offering meat-free food since 1981, but - seeing as 70% of the restaurant's clientele are meat-eaters - you don't have to be a veggie to enjoy it.

Light, bright and welcoming, Food for Friends has been revered by the British press and the restaurant prides itself on serving up fresh, locally sourced ingredients with a sophisticated twist.

The majority of its dishes are inspired by Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and North African cooking and whether you fancy an a la carte meal or the restaurant's famous Afternoon Tea, there will be something to tickle your tastebuds here.

As well as gourmet vegetarian meals, the local landmark dishes up a laid back vibe and its elegant yet earthy atmosphere will make you feel right at home.

The restaurant is also perfectly located for people watching - a real must in this funky city by the sea.
