Frankfurt is an international city, and as such you will find all kinds of cuisine dotted around. Some of more popular non-German cuisines are Chinese, Italian, Indian, French, Arabic and Japanese. The latter is probably the most popular for a few reasons. Frankfurt has a considerably high population of Japanese people, both residents and business visitors, and Germans tend to have quite a liking for Oriental and Indian food and culture on the whole.

One of the most popular Japanese restaurant brands is the Iimori chain of Cake shops, Cafes, Sushi Bars and Restaurants. With five outlets in Frankfurt, and one in Paris, the IIMORI brand is well admired by many Frankfurters. Head to the cake shop on Heideplatz 1 for an afternoon tea and Japanese cakes. Its inexpensive, delicious, healthy (yes it is!), and there are a variety of choices of cakes and traditional Japanese teas to choose from. The service is impeccable.
