You simply can’t go to Paris without experiencing the Four Seasons Hotel George V.
Even if you just swing by the lobby to see the utterly drop dead gorgeous floral arrangements. Last time I went there was a positively architectural creation of hanging orchids. Everyone from Kylie Minogue to Bill Clinton has stayed. This imposing eight-storey landmark 1928 building has 245 guest rooms and suites of pure Parisienne glamour. The heart and soul of the hotel and a must for people watching is La Galerie restaurant with its Flemish tapestries and objets d’art. Cocktails in the courtyard are a must in summer. For more insanely luxurious moments, head to the spa. And if you happen to have come with a lover, hire the VIP room with its whirl pool, sauna, steam baths and two massage beds.
