This is one of Rome’s most popular pizzerie. Usually in Rome the service is quite slow, but here it’s fast, even too much! Friendly and informal waiters serve you a delicious crispy pizza, with beer and fried appetizers (mashed cheesy potatoes: “crocchette”; stuffed olives: “olive ascolane”; rice balls: “arancini”) at the speed of the light, so to make sure that all the people waiting in line will be seated. Don’t expect "La Montecarlo" to remind you of the Côte d’Azur: you will dine with paper tablecloths and napkins, in a totally informal and noisy atmosphere, surrounded by tourists, young Roman crowd, and occasionally famous Italian actors, all having fun with the owner Carlo. There are also tables outside.

Vicolo Savelli 13, Rome, Italy
