Riva del Garda (Garda)
recommended by
Paola Pane
At the northern edge of Lake Garda, Riva del Garda is a pleasant tourist destination. The Rocca fortress and museum dominates the waterfront. It is pleasant to stroll in the lakeside area and enjoy the romantic public gardens, the cafes and restaurants and the little shops. From Riva there are many places to visit for short excursions: Varone for the 287 ft waterfall, Lake Ledro for the remains of a Bronze Age settlement, and Castello d’Arco for the fortifications.
