Varenna is a peaceful and small resort on Lake Como, structured in the Roman period, with a medieval village and castle (Castello de Vezio), from where you can enjoy views over the lake. There are also two beautiful 19th century villas: Villa Isimbardi (or dei Cipressi) and Villa Monastero.
