Hotel Tamisa Golf hard to beat for the perfect golf getaway on the Costa del Sol

Golfers like good weather, in which case the best place in Europe for them is Spain. It’s as simple as that.
Spain is easy to get to, has many fine courses, the price is right, and there’s usually a beach nearby, as well as restaurants galore and nightlife.
Of course it’s also a big country, so let’s narrow this down to the Costa del Sol and Malaga’s excellent airport and its beautiful new terminal, connected to many UK and other European airports.
Then you need a hotel, and there’s a little beauty just a short drive from Malaga airport, and that is Hotel Tamisa Golf. Its 24 rooms give it an exclusive feeling, and it is right on the Mijas golf course. In all my years of travelling and staying at hotels worldwide that pride themselves on being well located for golf, and dedicated to looking after golfers, it is one of the best. Turnberry in Scotland, while being much bigger, gives me the same good feeling.
Mind you, the owner, John Peach, is Scottish, and he knows what golfers want.
Tamisa is within reach of all of the coast’s 50 golf courses yet is just a short taxi ride from the beaches of Fuengirola, and on the fringe of rural Mijas.
Some guests rarely stray from the terrace, pool and relaxation in the sunshine. The hotel can arrange tee-times, and it has a shuttle to take guests to courses.
