The Bonham, Edinburgh
  The Bonham Hotel, Edinburgh

Minimalist-chic, Luxurious, Hot, Hip and Cool Edinburgh hotel ……

These and many other exciting, enticing words have been used to describe the Bonham Hotel, a 48 bedroomed townhouse hidden along a tree-lined crescent in Edinburgh`s West End. Within a few months of opening in 1998 Conde Nast Traveller deemed it one of the 21 Coolest hotels in the world based on its “relaxed conviviality”.

The artistic interior design juxtaposes original Georgian interior architecture with contemporary furnishings. Taking centre stage in the lobby lounge is a crimson spiral sofa designed by Mario Cananzi and Roberto Semprini, and on the walls a virtual gallery of stunning abstract paintings by young Scottish artists.

Bedrooms and suites are theatrically designed with bold colours, plush drapes, artwork and sense of glamour (a romantic split level suite features an Edwardian copper bath), as well as eTV for movies, music, TV channels and internet with cabled broadband access.

Dining at the Bonham is always a foodie pleasure with its wood pannelled French bistro style setting and innovative, inspired modern French/Scottish menu ending with home made brownies with coffee. If you can, do experience a great value Boozy Snoozy weekend lunch.

With a wee touch of luxury and classy European style, this is a smart, sophisticated and definitely “cool” Edinburgh hotel.
