This is the place to see how the Hapsburg Empire lived. Seat of power for over seven centuries, the Hofburg Imperial Palace complex is vast – 2600 rooms in 18 buildings – and encompasses museums, art galleries, the Imperial Chapel where the Vienna Boys’ Choir sings on Sundays and the Spanish Riding School where the high-stepping Lippizaner horses perform.

Marvel at the grandeur and riches within the Imperial Apartments where Emperor Franz Joseph, his legendary Empress Elisabeth (Sisi), the family and the royal household lived among rococo twirls, intricate stucco, Bohemian crystal, Brussels tapestries, spectacular silver, the finest porcelain and acres of great art.

Open daily 9am-5pm, 9am-5.30pm in July and August.

Note: The entry price includes entry to the Imperial Apartments, Sisi Museum and Imperial Silver Collection with audio guide.
